Civil Service Board

The Panama City Civil Service Board consists of five qualified electors of the City. Two members of this board are appointed by the City Commission for a period of two years; two members are elected by the City employees; and, the fifth member is selected by said four members.

When inquiring into charges and hearing appeals on employee-related matters, the board members have the power to administer oaths and the authority to compel by subpoena the attendance and testimony of witnesses and the production of relevant data to the inquiry or hearing.
